After many years immersed in absorbing and experimenting with weaving structures, I am now exploring the interplay of textures and colours when applied to a combination of modern and traditional methods. I incorporate a wide variety of yarns and materials, in order to enhance the tactile aspect of my work.
Recently I have learnt to spin my own yarns and so am starting to extend the range of possibilities within my weaving.
My influences vary from the natural world and our environment, through the art of ancient civilisations to the ideas of some modern weavers such as Theo Moorman.
I like to produce a range of decorative and functional items such as wall-hangings, cushions, bags, belts and scarves, each of which is unique.
